UltraFind is a powerful file retrieval, information and management utility which puts the MacOS file system at your fingertips. It treats your Mac or network as an information-rich file and text searchable database.
Highly flexible, it provides options for finding every conceivable type of Macintosh file and features an extremely fast text search which includes it's own built-in Thesaurus, allowing you to not only find documents containing the words you are looking for, but also any documents related to them.
Whether you're looking for the latest version of a document, searching abstracts, articles or email messages, filtering technical papers, searching for fonts on the network, images, sounds, filters, XTensions or programs, UltraFind will quickly locate the exact information you need and give you immediate access to it.
It supports AppleScript and Drag&Drop, displays detailed file information, and performs single or batch file functions such as open, copy, move, trash, make alias, reveal, re-label, back up, and will even read a document's contents with it's built-in Data Reader. You can customise it with powerful repetitive search Routines and you can plug in UltraFind Additions which allow you to perform a wide range of file management functions (including compressing and archiving files - available from December). UltraFind will also search PC servers, IBM mainframes, VMS and UNIX hosts, including Sun sparc stations and Crays, all from your Mac desktop.

INSTALLATION
We suggest you either put UltraFind into your Apple Menu, or drag it out onto your desktop and leave it in a corner of your screen. Leave it, or an alias of it, on your desktop so you can conveniently drop files onto it's icon (to read text in files, etc.) UltraFind contains it's own Command-Key which allows you to call it up from within any application by pressing <Command-Option-F>. To enable the Command Key, select "Preferences" from the File Menu and click "Enable".
REGISTERING YOUR COPY
A Single User License costs 25 UK Pounds or 38 US Dollars and is payable by credit card or check. The License price includes free support and free upgrades to future 2.x.x releases. For information on Site Licenses select "Ordering Information" from UltraFind's "Register" menu.
European and International Orders
Select "Print Order Form" from UltraFind's "Register" menu and choose the International Order Form. You can send the form to us by email, fax or post. Payment can be made either by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, EuroCard or JCB), or by check in UK Pounds or US Dollars.
United States & Canada
Select "Print Order Form" from UltraFind's "Register" menu and choose the USA & Canada Order Form. You can send the form to LandWare by email, fax or post (details on the form). ULTRAFIND ADDITIONS
UltraFind has a variety of Additions (plug-ins) which provide a wide range of file management functions. Most of these are supplied free of charge and are available from our WebSite (http://www.demon.co.uk/ultratec/ultrafind.html) and from the major online systems. New Additions are added to our WebSite all the time, so please check the site frequently to see if there is anything you need.
DISTRIBUTING ULTRAFIND
You are welcome to distribute UNREGISTERED copies of UltraFind to other users, User Groups, Bulletin Boards and Macintosh FTP sites on the Internet.
Apple Magazines, Shareware distributors and Macintosh User Groups are welcome to distribute this software on CD-ROM, cover disk and software collections.
The only restrictions are: You may not sell or distribute registered copies of this software, lease, rent or loan this Software, or remove any text, logos or insignia from this Software or alter it in any way.
